Dance Dance babydoll

Dress and top by topshop, vintage boots.

Some pics of what I wore when I was at Amsterdam. Having a floral dress did break a bit of my rules but this retro pattern and the shirt dress style made me whispered 'yeessss' to florals. I've got kind of an obscure standard and had been refusing to wear short dresses whilst I've always got teased that my outfit is still see through with 10 layers on. So yeh I decided to layer them up (now I'm sort of convinced its not that short to have my bottom on display) and I actually like this alot, perhaps when the weather gets warmer I can take a little risk<3

Amsterdam

I've got the perfect excuse for not blogging and here it is: It's Amsterdammmm! Me and Woody jumped on the plane and had a little getaway for a few days in Amsterdam last week and thank God the weather had been beautiful (despite it was so windy at times I felt I might just get blown away). I started missing our time hopping on and off the tram, nearly got run over by a cycle zillion times, walking around the city where I can smell cannabis every other street, clueless map readers (so were we) walking past us, giant dildos and rubber lingeries, Dutch waffles and the giant Miffy. We felt blessed under the sun on this piece of land.
Outfit post to go (It's no excuse not having some decent full body shots taken in that weather)!

Say oui to Winter! Arcadia group press day

I know its been a while since I last blogged and I was surprised that I didn't get zero page views any day so far, so the guilt of not posting won over my post holiday depression because I've got quite a bit of interesting adventures to tell (and of course I'm trying not to let anyone down eehhe), there's another blogging marathon to go. As promised I'm grouping pic Ive got for the Arcadia Group press day image in a post to show you all some highlights. It's no surprised Topshop is pretty much everyone's fav. in the group but Miss Selfridge and Dorothy Perkins have been wow-ed me quite often recently. Speaking of trendy pretty clothes with a more friendly prices, they have been doing quite a great job and seemed to be going stronger for the coming season. As a matter of fact, I was not a fan of Dorothy Perkins since my impression of the store was boring work wear and fail save, elegant dresses, somehow they were too elegant to me (it explains when I constantly feel like i'm never gonna have an appropriate outfit to meet anyone's parents because they're just gonna be too distracted by the lace of my underwear). However I can see Dorothy Perkins has been giving itself a makeover and their stuff are actually worth lusting after, I feel like I'm gonna visit its website everyday and hunt those lovely pieces down.
We're still not letting go of lace and panels this winter, the lace panel dress on the left is my favourite, and it looks surprisingly good with a turban.
Leopards? Devore? what else do you want for your Winter wardrobe? <3
Perhaps I haven't mentioned how many shirt/ shirt dresses/ basically anything with a collar I've got this season and I'm obviously still not getting over it <3
Colour blocking in Winter is no news to me after rummaging through a bunch of press days, and we are not in fear because even we can't afford Jil Sander and Dries, we've got Dottie P!
Is it just me or if anyone noticed that sometimes Dorothy Perkins does have something really similar to topshop? I've got a pair of cream tapered trousers with the exact same embroidery on. Now I saw this sheer white shirt, with embroidery, I've got every box checked.
Snake skin in bright satsuma shade, I can't decide between the boots and the heels...

I can't always do big earrings because they are too heavy and I'll just look ridiculous with some a foot long earrings dangling beside my 5 foot frame, but these earrings are such great find that they worth getting even for decorations!

I guess I'm in no difference with any starving little fashion lovers who would take a century to ponder whether or not to get something great. Having a second look of these pieces I can see they are expecting me haha, so fingers crossed I can snap them all up when the season begins!

Say oui to Winter! Topshop AW11 press day

This is probably the millionth time I said I love Topshop, so its press day is undoubtedly one of the most anticipated one on my schedule. I was lucky enough to be working around central on Wednesday so I popped myself into their show venue just off Carnaby Street along with the other press days in the Arcadia Group. So, Confession, it was not as great as I expected (still love you Topshop), maybe I saw their last press day solely on pictures from other blogs and gave myself the wildest expectation haha. However Topshop never fails to surprise so I am literally making a visual wishlist, fully on display to you all hehe.

I don't know if it was just me or Topshop really has gone grown up this winter. Feminine dresses in grown up silhouettes , darker shades and a range of materials which you didn't expect to see from Topshop, I love most of them but I'm still giggly when I saw those short embellished dresses (I'm someone who can only wear a long skirt as a dress and a midi skirt into a maxi), not to mention A LOT OF pony skins. The Unique collection surprised me with really lush materials, devore dress and furry coats. Indeed I'm not a big fan of dressing like a dalmatian but that coat really made me swoon♥

shirt with embellishments? Mega YES pllleeasee
These are some true disco pants!
I don't care if I looked like a walking mango, I want this
finally some affordable options for crazy wiggy faux furs

One of the biggest surprises is definitely their jewellery, I literally looked at the collection once, twice, and thrice until I believe they are from Topshop. I wasn't extremely crazy about Pamela Love's collaboration which is about to out next week when I saw the press images (ok slap me because I did expect some imitations of her famous talon cuffs) and I'm not good friends with boho style jewellery, so I had a chill ran through my spine when I saw these jewellery, their spike rings and those nearly-plastic-coloured beetle rings are so worth hunting for!

I've also visited the press days of the rest of the group but I was busy going on another press day and some sourcing for shoots , will group them all in a post shortly, and more exciting stuff coming!
