A beautiful mess

Having myself covered in fabric scraps, threads, beads and chains is always on top of my to do list every summer. I've got piles of jewellery pieces made but I never intended to sell them (blame it to my poor promotion skills). This year I'm into beads, chains and studs, and of course having some religious influence is essential.
Just finished my body chain and arm chain, they are pretty much the first few items I feel I would wear them over and over again, will try to get a proper shoot for them soon
It's hot outside, lets get cosy and get all tangled up x

Crocs and brogues

Chris Kane for Topshop top worn as dress, Alexander Wang bra top, vintage hat, DIY necklace, Topshop brogues

Thanks to my barely 5foot height i managed to wear the top as a dress, in fact I wondered who can wear the dress version unless u're 5''8, so Im quite pleased with my height (I guess?)
Ive been wearing these brogues nearly everyday since they were really comfy, I suppose Ive worn to death but the older they look the better, sometimes I just mistaken them as vintage.
I was wearing another vintage hat from Angel's, its pretty user friendly and since all I brought back to HK were sort of costume-y hats, including a feathered tiara so in this actually looks pretty wearable and versatile.
Ive started DIY-ing jewellery as I do every summer in Hong Kong, pictures will be uploaded soon x

Mom's shoe wardrobe and some hair cut

Whilst I was thinking where to get some decent 90s style suede boots without a price tag which gives me a heart attack, I spent my breakfast time digging into my mom's abandoned shoe wardrobe. As you can see it was covered with dust and hidden under the loo rolls, I found some oh-so-90s-Kenneth Cole and Ferragamo, and actually some decent suede boots, and yes yes yes they are brand new, photos of what I found will be uploaded soon.

Speaking of my hair, Ive been hoping to bleach it again like the models in the Proenza SS10 show, but apparently my hair to too dead to keep, so alternatively I ditched my blonde ends and thinking to get a Carey Mulligan pixie crop in bleached tropical colour. I haven't done the bleaching part but hopefully I can do it soon x

I'm ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-cherry boommb

Dokota Fanning is my alter ego.
I watched The Runaways during my flight back to Hong Kong,
to be honest I had no idea what The Runaways was but I heard Jack aka Anarchic Female said he was pant-sweatingly thrilled (haha) to have this film made. Ive been a fan of Dokota's, she was just as great, in fact, greater than she can ever be as Cherie Curie. I regretted not to bring my American Apparel red spandex leggings back to Hong Kong as I saw her playing Davie Bowie in the opening.
I youtubed the original video and i nearly cried out of shock for how much it resembled the original The Runaways. It's kind of explainable since the real Joan Jett participated in the production and now i trust Kristen Stewart is not a pretty-but-grumpy teeange, but Dakota is my diamond. Arrrghhhh Im ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-cheery booommb ! x

Hello from HK

Dress from Christopher Kane for Topshop, vintage hat and jacket, vintage British girl guides' shop rucksack, Topshop wedges, Erikson Beamon spike bangle.

I decided to spend half of
my (possibly) last ever summer vacation in Hong Kong.
I was quite impressed for the amount of compliment i received for my hat. I got it from the costume shop Angel's mega sale. I remember i got 7 hats and I would love to show you.
I nearly got an heart attack when I got the dress in the Topshop sale (so was the sales assistant) since it was £5, it was from Kane's last year collection for Topshop and it fits unexpectedly
( i admit i did some alterations on the length)

Thanks again for visiting the blog and hope to see you soon x
